Fearlessness in 2025
Hope for what’s ahead
I’m entering 2025 in awe of the ways in which the people and organizations I work with demonstrate fearlessness in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges. Despite there being so many reasons to let despair take hold, this fearlessness gives me hope - SO much hope for what’s possible. Here’s one of the ways in which I’ve seen it show up in the spaces I hold for those longing for change…
As a Leadership and Life Coach, I partner with directors, managers, entrepreneurs, and those going through big transitions - loss of a job, a change in career, a promotion - to develop fearlessness in facing big sticky challenges, both the challenges that are chosen, but also those that are forced upon us by life. It’s really hard stuff they’re facing, and yet I know the work we do together helps them realize that they’re always at choice in deciding how they want to respond. And then clarity happens - they ground themselves in their values, get clear about what they truly want and the vision they will hold for themselves, those they serve, and the world they want to create, and then fearlessly (and lovingly) cultivate what’s needed for growth and change.
My job as a fearless coach is to hold (unwaveringly) this vision of your highest self and to allow you to stare down your harshest critic that tells you you’re not capable, you’re not enough, to play it safe, to stay small. My job as your fearless coach is to hold that safe space for you, to have your back, till you know that YOU ARE ENOUGH, that you can dream big while knowing that you have what it takes to fulfill that vision of your highest self and your beautiful amazing life.

More on what we’re hopeful about in 2025…
We’re talking about fearlessness, people…
For the mission-driven organizations I serve, fearlessness has another face. It’s a willingness to take on what seems like insurmountable challenges in our world, our society, our communities - to have hope, to be willing to use our talents, strengths, knowledge, and courage to make a difference, to know our strengths while humbly acknowledging what we may not do so well, and then seeking partnerships with others in service of change, connecting around a shared purpose, and then together, with tenacity, forging ahead. When the world seems like it’s falling apart, draining us, and telling us that we can’t do it, it’s about sharing our hope, cultivating energy and focus, and responding with action, determination, and an attitude that says, just watch me.
What’s Coming Up
Many of you have heard that Mighty Catalyst was awarded the opportunity to help San Mateo County develop a comprehensive evaluation plan and quality improvement plan for The Big Lift Initiative aimed at improving 3rd grade reading proficiency among those students facing the greatest barriers.
What you may not have heard is that our work will focus specifically on the Initiative’s Big Lift Inspiring Summers Program (BLIS) targeting summer learning loss through academic and enrichment programs for students led by credentialed teachers, librarians, and other amazing staff dedicated to this important work.
My team and I have started our engines and are ready to roll out… we’ll take stock of the incredible progress that’s been made on this initiative (via reports, data, and other materials like RAND Corporation’s 2021 TBL Evaluation Report), conduct deep listening sessions and other data gathering opportunities with County and Initiative leaders, educators, librarians, parents, and students, and discover new opportunities to leverage strengths and address the gaps.
I know it sounds crazy, but this is our version of living OUR best life because it’s living our purpose, it’s creating the change WE want to see in the world.
Curious about how we might lighten YOUR load, run those focus groups for you, or analyze that feedback you and your team are dreading doing yourself? We love that stuff. Book a 30-min purpose call with me here.
